Is Naming And Shaming Runescape Bots The Right Thing To Do?

Ok, so today we are not just here to offer you the best deals on Runescape 3 Gold we are here to make you think! As we are huge fans of Runescape, we love spending time on the Runescape Reddit. There is a good community here and the folks at Jagex love to communicate with the fans, so there is a real sense of community.

Now recently a Runescape player tried to name and shame some people who were known to be using/offering bots to other players. While the intentions were clearly good, the post was removed and many people informed this person that naming and shaming is not actually allowed, but should it?

Is Naming And Shaming Runescape Bots The Right Thing To Do

We know that some people have a real anti bots stance when it comes to MMORPG's and some people will counter with that it is not really doing any harm if it is not affecting other players. But it is still not something that is actually allowed on the Runescape Reddit and many of these posts, as good as their intentions may be, get pulled down.

Jagex would no doubt appreciate being tipped off to a potential bot ring, but they do not want people posting user names or even worse, real names! We can understand why to be honest as you do not know what kind of effect this could have on a person.

We would love to hear from you guys. What are your thoughts on this? Have you ever reported someone for clearly using a bot? Have you ever had someone report you? And in general what are your opinions on using bots in Runescape 3? Let us know in the comments section down below.
