So everyone seems upset at the potential death of Bandos (and less likely, Armadyl) that is coming with the next World Event. I'm here to offer a counterpoint to that view.
1) We have enough RS Gold.
One dying won't be the end of the world. There are more to pick up the slack and allow for good story lines still. Due to Sliske's game, there will need to be deaths anyway - why not now?
2) Bandos sucks.
Like really. Who likes him? Not me. I doubt many people do. And while it's "sad" for his followers, if he does die, it will be satisfying. He needs to die. We saw what he is capable of, and removing him from the game will make Gielinor safer.
3) It'll make for a better world event.
Complaints of the BoL were that it was not dense enough, it was a grindfest, it was inconsequential. What if we know a God will die? The event will actually have meaning, be driven, and people will actually know why they are participating.
4) It progresses the story.
This story has been built up very well - IMO, we don't need anymore exposition of character development. It's time for stuff to happen. And, well, you might say that it's not good for players (as a whole) to decide how things continue; well, I say to that, that it shouldn't be up to players to decide that things do not progress.
